"My work unites ethereal and apparitional forms through an alternative process called Caffenol, the application of the developer and the use of an analog camera. I am interested in examining the evanescence in comparison to the static figures within my images; their permanence in reality is tested within the circular motions that I create through Caffenol and brush strokes. The ritual of circles and the physical movement conducted in the darkroom is a meditative procedure that I utilize in order to create a sense of repetition, question of reality and the theme of abstraction."
