His work can be seen as raw, but at the same time it tittilates our senses. Great thought went into simplifying them. They're sculptures who make an impression and who are vulnerable, rough. Sometimes they portrait emotional scarred people. There aren't many attributes to distract you, there is no storyline. The viewer is confronted with figures, who are mostly displayed in frontal view, with almost closed eyelids. They seem stoic and frozen, captured in a moment that will never release them. You're compelled by their silence.
