This series of paintings deal with disease management through the use of science and technology. When I was 11 years old, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Needless to say it drastically changed my life. As an artist, I express the nuances that technology brings to managing a disease and the science behind it. My work is a blend of emotional responses to life saving technology, both micro and macro implications, to having a strict routine for most things deemed mundane.
