I create still-lifes in my studio from various found materials and the final installation is photographed with a large format camera.
My work focuses on issues of identity and femininity, while questioning the stereotypes of women and the need for societal standards of beauty and domesticity. I approach these ideas not to off an excuse for these conventionalized behaviors, but rather as an investigation into the complexities of the female gender.
