This image shows the reflection of the rotting hull of a wooden ship at the former boatyard on Shooters Island in the Kill Van Kull, looking for all the world as a splayed cadaver.
At low tide in the industrial waterways surrounding New York City, ancient ship skeletons of twisted, rusting metal and waterlogged wood are transformed into ghostly sculptures as they sink together in slow motion. These photographs show reflections of what once was.
