This is an image of a former Port Authority ferry, with the rush of the incoming tide creating ripples in the reflected structure.
At low tide in the industrial waterways surrounding New York City, ancient ship skeletons of twisted, rusting metal and waterlogged wood are transformed into ghostly sculptures as they sink together in slow motion. These photographs show reflections of what once was.
