Every artist begins artwork as an expression of themselves and their view of the world as well as their perception of art. Artists are searching and exploring the above mentioned, in a non-static journey, through their oeuvre until their life ends. However there is generally an area of pursuit that draws an artist to express more intently than others. My expressions focus on statements of ego/soul balancing and the effects of each on ourselves and our environment. This particular piece was homage to Frida Kahlo’s work and to loss of innocence in life and the world of art as pure expression judged by more commercial/business interest.
The uninhibited self, expressed as image, in creative innocence.
