Awarded 2nd PrizeFred Casselmanearthecho.comThe image is called "The Seed", a favorite that has withstood the test of time. It started out as a photograph of a dried husk from a Japanese Lantern plant. My technique was to then play with the original image on the computer until I felt something interesting begin to happen. And then just go with the feeling and the flow.
I print my images on an archival inkjet rag paper and then mount them on aluminum composite substrates. A coat of Renaissance Wax helps protect the surface and adds addition depth and sheen to the image.
